3 Ways to Show Appreciation for your Employees this Holiday Season

Showing appreciation for your employees is essential to ensuring a healthy company culture. Employees are what keep a company running, especially those who have been around for a while. Be sure to show your employees how much you value them this holiday season!

Gifts

Giving something tangible to your employees is a wonderful way to show them that you care. Business Insider gives you a few ideas here to get your gift-giving wheels turning!

It is important to get employees something they will actually use, even if it is as simple as a gift card! They won’t feel appreciated if they receive a useless gift. Hot take: Employees don’t want yet ANOTHER mug with the company logo on it—they have enough mugs already. Company branded things are definitely an option, but keep it classy (and useful)!

If you need more fun ideas for employee gifts, uncommon goods is a great website to poke around on. They even have a “gift finder” page if you want to find the perfect gift for each individual employee!

Bonuses

Employees are always happy to receive some cash. Sometimes, the simpler, the better. An end-of-year cash bonus is an easy way to show your employees that you appreciate them. There is no need to wrap OR physically deliver!

You can send an email to your employees, alerting them of the incoming bonus in their paychecks and saying some kind words about your appreciation for them.

Time off

If possible for your company, giving employees a few more days off outside of the federal holidays means a lot. This clearly shows your appreciation and allows them more time to spend with family and friends.

Understandably, many companies can’t have their production come to a complete halt for a few days during the holidays, but if you can find a way to stagger time off and keep your well-oiled machine of a company running, employees will remember this gift of time and add it to their list of reasons to stay with your company.

Regardless of how you show you care, employees will appreciate a pat on the back and a thank you for their time dedicated to you and your company.
